Responsibilities
- Front Desk Management: Greet and welcome visitors, patients, and clients with a warm and professional demeanor, managing the reception area to ensure a welcoming environment.
- Phone Operations: Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, routing them to the appropriate departments or staff members while taking detailed messages.
- Scheduling: Manage calendars and appointment schedules for medical staff and providers, ensuring optimal time management and minimal no-shows.
- Administrative Support: Handle patient check-ins, verify insurance information, and maintain accurate patient records in our electronic health record system (EHR).
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external communications, maintaining a positive and professional image of the company.
- Inventory & Supplies: Monitor and order office supplies, ensuring the reception area is always stocked and well-maintained.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of professional receptionist or administrative support experience in a medical or corporate setting preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; additional certification in medical reception is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) is highly desirable.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional telephone manner.
- Interpersonal: Strong customer service skills with the ability to remain calm and courteous in high-pressure situations.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including some weekends or holidays as needed.
