Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly upon arrival, managing the front desk reception area.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls to appropriate departments with a professional tone.
- Manage patient check-in processes, updating electronic health records (EHR) as necessary.
- Schedule appointments and manage the daily calendar for medical staff and providers.
- Process incoming mail, faxes, and packages, ensuring timely distribution.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies inventory.
- Resolve visitor inquiries and complaints in a calm and efficient manner.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
- Previous experience as a receptionist or in a medical office setting is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using computer systems and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse populations.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
