Responsibilities
- Manage patient check-in/check-out processes with precision and empathy
- Handle multi-line phone systems and direct calls to appropriate departments
- Schedule appointments using Epic EHR software and coordinate provider calendars
- Maintain secure patient records and HIPAA-compliant documentation
- Process insurance verifications and collect payments accurately
- Coordinate with nursing staff for urgent patient needs during night shifts
- Prepare daily reports and manage office supplies inventory
- Uphold sterile protocols and facility security standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year medical reception or customer service experience
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/Cerner) and MS Office Suite
- Strong multitasking abilities in high-pressure environments
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations
- Available to work flexible night shifts (7 PM - 7 AM)
- CPR/BLS certification required or obtainable within 30 days
