Responsibilities
- Manage patient check-ins and check-outs during overnight hours with HIPAA-compliant procedures
- Handle multi-line phone system, triage emergency calls, and route communications appropriately
- Schedule appointments using Epic EHR system while maintaining accurate patient records
- Process insurance verifications and collect co-payments for overnight services
- Coordinate with on-call physicians and nursing staff for urgent patient matters
- Prepare daily reports and manage front desk inventory for next-day operations
- Maintain secure patient information and confidentiality per regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year receptionist or front desk experience in healthcare setting
- Proficiency with medical software (Epic, Cerner, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication skills with ability to remain calm during emergency situations
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (11 PM - 7 AM) including weekends and holidays
- Valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light office duties
