Responsibilities
- Manage front desk operations including patient check-in/out, appointment scheduling, and phone triage
- Maintain accurate patient records and confidential information using EMR systems
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow and communication
- Process payments, insurance verification, and manage daily reconciliation tasks
- Uphold cleanliness and organization of reception area and waiting spaces
- Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and supply inventory
- Provide exceptional customer service while addressing patient inquiries and concerns
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year receptionist or customer service experience in healthcare setting preferred
- Proficiency with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask in high-volume environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with diverse populations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during weekend shifts
- Basic medical terminology knowledge and HIPAA compliance understanding
- Reliable transportation to cover varied weekend shifts (Sat/Sun 7am-7pm)
- Positive attitude and problem-solving mindset under pressure
