Responsibilities
- Manage patient check-ins and check-outs during overnight hours with empathy and professionalism
- Accurately enter patient registration, insurance, and medical history data into EHR systems
- Coordinate with night-shift physicians and nursing staff for urgent patient communications
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information per HIPAA regulations
- Handle multi-line phone systems, triage calls, and schedule appointments
- Prepare nightly reports and reconcile administrative documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical reception or data entry
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic, Cerner) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional typing speed (45+ WPM) with 98% accuracy in data entry
- Strong communication skills with ability to de-escalate patient concerns
- Ability to work independently during overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Basic medical terminology knowledge
