Responsibilities
- Manage multi-line phone system and triage emergency calls with discretion
- Register patients and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR)
- Coordinate scheduling between departments and overnight staff
- Process insurance verifications and manage confidential documentation
- Oversee visitor access and maintain secure lobby protocols
- Collaborate with security teams for overnight facility safety
- Prepare daily reports for morning management team
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years medical front desk experience required
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Exceptional conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
- Advanced knowledge of HIPAA compliance protocols
- Ability to work independently during low-traffic periods
- Valid Michigan driver's license for emergency errands
- Spanish language proficiency strongly preferred
