Responsibilities
- Manage multi-line phone system and direct patient inquiries to appropriate departments
- Schedule appointments efficiently using our EMR system while optimizing provider calendars
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-payments accurately
- Process incoming/outgoing mail, shipments, and office supplies inventory
- Maintain clean, organized reception area and patient waiting space
- Assist with patient registration and update electronic health records
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient flow
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years of professional receptionist or customer service experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems (Epic experience a plus)
- Exceptional verbal communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced medical environment
- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency required
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- Positive attitude with strong attention to detail
