Responsibilities
- Manage patient check-in/out processes efficiently using EMR systems
- Schedule and confirm appointments while maintaining accurate calendars
- Handle incoming calls with professionalism and route appropriately
- Verify insurance information and collect co-payments
- Prepare and maintain patient records with strict confidentiality
- Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow
- Assist with administrative tasks including filing and correspondence
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred
- 2+ years receptionist or customer service experience
- Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic/Meditech a plus)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes
