As the Sustainable Futurist Lead, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, product development, and executive leadership, to integrate sustainable practices into our core business operations. You will conduct in-depth research on future technologies, societal shifts, and environmental challenges, providing actionable insights that drive our innovation agenda. Your expertise will help us anticipate market changes and position Nexus Innovations as a leader in the sustainable tech space.

Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging trends in sustainability, technology, and societal shifts to inform strategic planning for 2026 and beyond.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainable innovation roadmap aligned with the company's long-term vision.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the ideation, development, and execution of sustainable projects and initiatives.
- Conduct research and provide data-driven insights to executive leadership on future market opportunities and risks.
- Collaborate with product teams to integrate sustainable practices and materials into product design and development.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, speaking engagements, and thought leadership forums.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation and sustainability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, Technology, or a related field; Master's or PhD preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in strategic planning, innovation management, or sustainability leadership.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sustainability initiatives in a corporate or startup environment.
- Expertise in future forecasting, trend analysis, and scenario planning.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Deep understanding of global sustainability goals (e.g., UN SDGs) and emerging technologies (e.g., AI, renewable energy, circular economy).
