Responsibilities
- Lead strategic foresight workshops to identify and prioritize emerging technologies with 2026 commercialization potential
- Develop scenario-based roadmaps for quantum computing applications across healthcare and finance sectors
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to align innovation initiatives with long-term business objectives
- Author white papers and policy briefs on AI governance frameworks for global regulatory bodies
- Manage a portfolio of experimental projects in biotech-AI convergence (e.g., neural interfaces)
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal foresight capability across the organization
- Present findings at industry conferences and represent Horizon Labs in global tech forums
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, technology consulting, or R&D leadership
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or top-tier tech publications
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, synthetic biology, AGI)
- Experience developing ethical frameworks for disruptive technologies
- Proven ability to secure multi-million dollar innovation grants from NSF/NIH/DARPA
- Fluency in scenario planning methodologies and horizon scanning techniques
- Portfolio of implemented future-proofing strategies for enterprise clients
