Responsibilities
- Analyze global tech, economic, and social trends to forecast industry developments through 2030
- Develop scenario-planning models for emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Partner with R&D teams to validate future-focused product concepts
- Present strategic foresight insights to executive stakeholders and board members
- Lead cross-functional workshops on future-proofing business strategies
- Author thought leadership publications on disruptive innovation patterns
- Monitor horizon-scanning sources (academic papers, patent filings, startup ecosystems)
- Advise on ethical implications of emerging technologies and governance frameworks
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or related field
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of translating future trends into business strategy
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep knowledge of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills for executive audiences
- Experience publishing future-focused research in industry journals
- Certification in Foresight or Innovation Management preferred
