Responsibilities
- Lead horizon-scanning initiatives to identify and validate disruptive technologies with 2026+ market potential
- Develop multi-year innovation roadmaps aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals and tech ethics frameworks
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops with engineers, designers, and business units to prototype future-facing solutions
- Author whitepapers and thought leadership content on quantum applications, neural interfaces, and climate tech convergence
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions (MIT, Stanford) and government innovation labs
- Advise executive leadership on emerging risks and opportunities in biotech, space commerce, and decentralized systems
- Mentor junior futurists in trend analysis and scenario planning methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years experience in technology strategy, R&D, or innovation consulting
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or AGI governance
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercial products or policy frameworks
- Certification in scenario planning (e.g., WFS, Shell) or technology impact assessment
- Portfolio demonstrating published forecasts with 80%+ accuracy (2019-2025 validation required)
- Exceptional presentation skills for C-suite and board-level audiences
