As a Senior 2D Artist, you will bridge the gap between concept art and final implementation, ensuring our visual identity remains consistent across all platforms.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and create high-quality 2D assets, including character designs, environments, props, and UI elements.
- Collaborate closely with the Game Design and Engineering teams to ensure visual fidelity aligns with gameplay mechanics.
- Optimize 2D assets for performance across various devices without compromising visual quality.
- Maintain and evolve the studio's established art style, providing mentorship to junior artists.
- Participate in creative reviews and iterate on feedback to refine visual storytelling.
- Utilize vector and raster tools to produce scalable graphics for web and mobile integration.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in 2D game art, with at least 2 years in a senior capacity.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Aseprite.
- Strong understanding of color theory, composition, and anatomy.
- Experience with animation principles (tweening, squash and stretch, timing) for sprites and UI.
- A portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of styles and high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative Agile environment.
