Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical commercial applications
- Lead hardware-software co-development for error-corrected qubit systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Collaborate with government agencies on quantum-resistant encryption standards
- Develop simulation frameworks for quantum-classical hybrid computing models
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum annealing or superconducting qubits
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent top-tier journals
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in complex systems modeling and high-performance computing
- Security clearance eligibility for government collaborations
