Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for cryptographic applications and optimization problems
- Design and implement quantum error correction protocols using topological qubits
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and neural networks
- Collaborate with hardware teams to bridge theoretical models with physical implementations
- Publish peer-reviewed papers in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure research grants from NSF and DARPA quantum initiatives
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or error correction
- Expertise in linear algebra, group theory, and quantum mechanics
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Experience with superconducting qubit architectures or ion trap systems
- Strong track record of securing competitive research funding
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical audiences
