Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for error correction and optimization
- Design and implement quantum circuits on superconducting platforms
- Collaborate with hardware teams to overcome quantum decoherence challenges
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Drive open-source quantum computing initiatives through GitHub contributions
- Mentor PhD interns from UT Austin's Quantum Information Center
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020-2026 graduates encouraged)
- 3+ years experience with Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant computing
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum hardware interfaces
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems or photonic processors
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
