Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for commercial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature/Science)
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF/NIH/DARPA
- Mentor PhD researchers and supervise quantum engineering interns
- Translate theoretical models into scalable industrial solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Published work in quantum algorithm development or hardware design
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and error correction
- Experience securing federal research grants
- Strong background in machine learning and parallel computing
- Ability to communicate complex concepts to executive stakeholders
