Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for 2026-era applications in optimization and machine learning
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using superconducting qubit systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory and computational complexity
- Develop intellectual property portfolios covering quantum cryptography and post-quantum security
- Interface with industry partners to translate quantum research into commercial solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years research experience
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, TQC)
- Expertise in quantum circuit optimization and algorithm development using Qiskit/Cirq
- Proficiency in quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC, color codes)
- Strong background in quantum many-body systems and tensor network simulations
- Experience with cryogenic quantum computing systems and pulse-level control
- Demonstrated ability to secure government/industry research grants (DARPA, NSF)
- Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in quantum commercialization pathways
