Responsibilities
- Lead research in quantum algorithms and error correction methodologies
- Design and execute experiments on IBM, Rigetti, and D-Wave quantum processors
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for real-world applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize qubit coherence times
- Publish findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE QCE
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and quantum engineering interns
- Secure federal grants and industry partnerships for quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Computational Mathematics
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or Q# programming frameworks
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum machine learning and cryptography
- Familiarity with cryogenic systems and quantum control electronics
- Strong background in linear algebra and probability theory
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for clearance
