Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE conferences
- Partner with industry leaders to commercialize quantum solutions for healthcare and logistics
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum machine learning and cryptography
- Secure $5M+ in government/industry research grants annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development on platforms like IBM Q or Rigetti
- Expertise in quantum error correction and topological qubit systems
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed quantum computing literature
- Proficiency in Python, Qiskit, and Cirq frameworks
- Experience leading multi-million dollar R&D projects
- Clearance for DoD/NASA collaborative research preferred
