Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing architectures
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum software interfaces
- Publish findings in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Develop commercial applications for quantum machine learning and cryptography
- Mentor PhD researchers and secure NSF/NIST grant funding
- Partner with Fortune 500 clients to solve industry-specific quantum challenges
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years experience with Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in quantum algorithms or error correction
- Expertise in quantum complexity theory and quantum information theory
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Strong Python/C++ skills with high-performance computing background
- Track record of securing research grants or industry partnerships
