Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop error mitigation techniques to enhance quantum processor stability and coherence times
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to prototype next-generation quantum computing architectures
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives targeting quantum advantage for 2026 use cases
- Author and publish peer-reviewed papers in leading quantum computing journals
- Secure external funding through NSF grants and industry partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum computing education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant design principles
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, IEEE Quantum Week)
- Strong mathematical foundations in linear algebra, group theory, and quantum information
