Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols to advance quantum coherence beyond current limitations
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware performance in cryogenic environments
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate quantum solutions into enterprise systems
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive innovation in quantum software development
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- Proven expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals/conferences
- Hands-on experience with quantum hardware (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum information theory, and statistical mechanics
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
