Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in logistics and finance
- Lead research in quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum processors with classical computing frameworks
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in government/industry grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor PhD researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Develop IP portfolios for commercial quantum applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in quantum circuit design and gate-level optimization
- Expertise in quantum machine learning algorithms
- Strong background in superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical research into practical implementations
- Security clearance eligibility for government-funded projects
