Our state-of-the-art facilities in San Francisco offer unparalleled resources for quantum experimentation, including cryogenic systems and photonic processors.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum protocols on our 128-qubit processors
- Develop error correction techniques to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Collaborate with engineering teams to translate theoretical models into hardware implementations
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum error correction
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong publication record in quantum information science
- Demonstrated ability to work with cryogenic quantum systems
- Experience with high-performance computing clusters
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
