Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit performance on superconducting processors
- Lead research publications in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Develop quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols for next-gen security systems
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional AI integration teams
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants and patents
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years of quantum algorithm development experience with IBM Qiskit or Cirq
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum circuit simulation frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to secure NSF/NIH grants or corporate R&D funding
- Experience with quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex systems modeling
