Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop error-correction techniques for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives in quantum cryptography and secure communications
- Publish breakthrough findings in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in government grants (DARPA, NSF) and industry partnerships
- Mentor PhD candidates and develop quantum computing curricula for universities
- Drive commercialization of quantum solutions for Fortune 500 clients
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of research experience
- Published 10+ peer-reviewed papers on quantum algorithms or quantum hardware
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, or Cirq) and cloud quantum platforms
- Proficiency with tensor networks and quantum simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience with superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
- Track record of securing government research grants or venture funding
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Patents in quantum technologies or related fields preferred
