Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant computing
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware using superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum machine learning frameworks
- Publish research in Nature Physics/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent filings
- Secure federal research grants from NSF and DARPA quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum circuit design
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals/conferences
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum assembly languages
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and error mitigation
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware systems
- Strong Python/C++ programming skills and Linux environments
- Ability to obtain US government security clearance (required)
