Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex computational problems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit performance on next-generation processors
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to translate theoretical models into practical solutions
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy across organizational departments
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding exceeding $500K
- Experience with quantum machine learning applications
