Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop error mitigation techniques to advance quantum error correction capabilities
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum gate operations and coherence times
- Lead cross-functional research projects integrating quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish findings in leading scientific journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum computing curriculum development
- Secure and manage research grants from federal and private institutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and quantum hardware architectures
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments and parallel processing
- Strong analytical skills with ability to solve complex mathematical problems
- Experience securing research funding and managing academic-industry partnerships
