Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex computational problems in cryptography and optimization
- Lead cutting-edge research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into real-world applications
- Develop and maintain quantum simulation frameworks using Python and specialized quantum computing libraries
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum computing education initiatives
- Stay current with emerging quantum technologies and identify new research opportunities
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- Deep expertise in quantum mechanics, quantum information theory, and quantum algorithms
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil) and simulation frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Proven track record of published research in quantum computing or related fields
- Experience with cloud-based quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts
- Preference for candidates with 3+ years of industry research experience
