Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum protocols on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design quantum error correction architectures
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional initiatives with AI and cybersecurity teams
- Secure patents for proprietary quantum methodologies and intellectual property
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction techniques
- Expertise in quantum information theory and many-body quantum systems
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or similar scientific computing tools
- Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Ability to secure and manage research funding through government and private grants
