Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop novel error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives in quantum machine learning and simulation
- Publish breakthrough findings in top-tier journals and present at global conferences
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through compelling proposals and roadmaps
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency with high-performance computing environments and parallel processing
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants (NSF, DARPA, DOE)
- Experience with superconducting qubits or trapped-ion systems
