Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experiments on quantum error correction and qubit coherence optimization using advanced cryogenic systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum processors and mitigate decoherence challenges
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present findings at international quantum conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and foster cross-functional innovation with AI/ML and materials science teams
- Secure patents for proprietary quantum computing methodologies and IP frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of quantum research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design, quantum gate operations, and algorithm development
- Proficiency with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and high-performance computing environments
- Published work in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant computing systems
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex systems, and theoretical computer science
- Experience with cryogenic engineering or superconducting qubit systems preferred
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants (NSF, DOE, DARPA)
