Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental research on superconducting qubit systems and quantum error correction protocols
- Collaborate with hardware teams to improve qubit coherence times and gate fidelities
- Develop quantum simulation frameworks for complex molecular and material science problems
- Mentor junior researchers and publish findings in leading scientific journals
- Secure and manage research grants from federal agencies and private foundations
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of quantum research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience with cryogenic systems and quantum hardware interfaces
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional research initiatives
