Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Lead research on quantum machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum system performance
- Publish findings in leading scientific journals and conferences
- Secure patents for proprietary quantum methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers and interns in quantum fundamentals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
- Expertise in at least one classical programming language (Python, C++, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
