Responsibilities
- Lead cutting-edge research in quantum algorithms and error correction methodologies
- Design and implement quantum simulations on next-generation processors
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to develop hybrid quantum-classical systems
- Publish research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive innovation in quantum software development
- Secure grants from NSF, DARPA, and industry partnerships
- Develop patentable quantum computing solutions for real-world applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (post-doc preferred)
- Expertise in quantum mechanics, linear algebra, and algorithm design
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Track record of peer-reviewed publications in quantum computing
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong Python/C++ programming skills and cloud computing expertise
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
