Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing scalable quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at global quantum conferences
- Secure federal and private research grants totaling $500K+ annually
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information science
- Collaborate with industry partners to commercialize quantum solutions
- Drive ethical frameworks for responsible quantum deployment
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
