Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting and photonic platforms
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to commercialize quantum applications
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and present at major conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grants
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or algorithm development
- Proficiency in Python and low-level quantum hardware control languages
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence phenomena
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems or photonic networks
- Strong track record of securing research grants
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for facility access
