Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit performance on proprietary quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum software SDKs for enterprise clients
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum computing specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Proven track record publishing in quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- Experience with quantum hardware (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, etc.)
- Ability to secure competitive research funding
