Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional R&D projects with AI and materials science teams
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at IEEE/APS conferences
- Secure $2M+ in NSF/DARPA research grants annually
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Translate theoretical models into experimental implementations
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and assembly-level quantum control
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence
- Track record of securing government research grants
- Experience with dilution refrigerators and microwave control systems
