Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Conduct cutting-edge research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Develop quantum hardware interfaces and control systems for next-generation processors
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate theoretical models into experimental prototypes
- Publish high-impact research in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external funding through competitive grant proposals (NSF, DARPA, DOE)
- Mentor junior researchers and drive innovation in quantum software ecosystems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Proficiency in quantum algorithm design and quantum circuit optimization
- Strong publication record in quantum information science or quantum computing
- Expertise in cryogenic systems, microwave engineering, or quantum control systems
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes and fault tolerance
- Experience with high-performance computing and parallel programming (Python, C++)
- Ability to secure competitive research funding and manage complex projects
