Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into enterprise frameworks
- Develop and maintain quantum computing software using Q#, Qiskit, and Cirq
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature Physics/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to open-source quantum initiatives
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and industry partners
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing experience with superconducting or photonic systems
- Expertise in quantum algorithms, quantum machine learning, and quantum cryptography
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and Python/C++
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals/conferences
- Strong background in linear algebra, statistical mechanics, and information theory
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, AWS Braket)
