Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in machine learning and cryptography
- Develop error-correction protocols for scalable quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to prototype quantum processors operating at 100+ qubit coherence
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives with AI and materials science divisions
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international quantum conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Engineering with 3+ years postdoctoral experience
- Expertise in quantum algorithm design (QAOA, VQE, Shor's variants)
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing venues
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and superconducting qubits
- Proven ability to secure competitive research grants (NSF, DoE, DARPA)
