Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead research in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical architectures for real-world deployment
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into scalable quantum processors
- Publish groundbreaking research in Nature/Science and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy across the organization
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published record in top-tier quantum computing journals (impact factor >10)
- Proficiency in quantum simulation frameworks (QASM, Quil) and high-performance computing
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and topological quantum computing
- Track record of translating theoretical models into experimental prototypes
- Experience securing federal research grants and managing large-scale projects
