Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting qubit platforms
- Collaborate with software engineers to create quantum-classical hybrid frameworks
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and present at QIP conferences
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NSF quantum computing grants
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (with 3+ years postdoc experience)
- Proven track record of quantum algorithm development (published in top-tier venues)
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, color, LDPC codes)
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of superconducting qubit architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and information theory
- Experience securing federal research grants (SBIR/STTR preferred)
