Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Develop error correction protocols to enhance qubit stability and coherence times
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes in cryogenic environments
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to translate theoretical models into practical quantum circuits
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at premier quantum computing conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to open-source quantum frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Proven track record of publishing in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, or D-Wave)
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and computer scientists
