Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental quantum computing projects using superconducting and photonic systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop error correction techniques
- Publish research in leading journals and present at international conferences
- Secure research funding through government grants and private partnerships
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming and theory
- Develop roadmaps for quantum computing applications in finance, logistics, and cryptography
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in quantum information theory and quantum error correction
- Publication record in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum systems
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical applications
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
