Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in finance and logistics
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing error-correction protocols for quantum processors
- Author peer-reviewed publications for Nature Physics and IEEE Transactions
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to calibrate quantum coherence metrics
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks
- Secure federal grants for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (post-doc preferred)
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature/Science/Physical Review X)
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Experience with superconducting qubit architectures or trapped-ion systems
- Demonstrated expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Ability to secure SBIR/STTR grants for quantum research
